Neither alcohol nor excessive speed were factors in a motorcycle crash that killed a Gray woman last summer in Sebago, police said Monday.

Officials released results of the reconstruction of an accident that killed 43-year-old Rochelle Plummer on July 6. The crash involved five other motorcycles on Route 114 near River Road. The motorcyclists were riding westbound as a group when they converged on a van stopped in the road waiting to turn left, police said. In an effort to avoid hitting the van, the motorcyclists apparently swerved and skidded, police said.

Rochelle was thrown from her motorcycle when it left the road, police said. Two other motorcyclists were injured in the crash.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crash.

Three of the motorcyclists were firefighters from the Gray Fire Department. Plummer was married to Gray Fire Department Capt. Will Plummer.
