The CareerCenter Employment and Training Orientation is held every Monday from 10 a.m.-noon. This offers an explanation of training programs and career exploration, and provides a brief introduction to the Wilton CareerCenter services.

The CareerCenter and Job Search Orientation is held every Tuesday from 9 a.m.-noon. Those attending can find out what services and resources the Wilton CareerCenter has to offer to those newly unemployed or looking for a new career.

“Résumé Writing,” Nov. 3 from 1:30-3 p.m. A résumé and cover letter is a reflection of knowledge, skills and abilities. Bring work and educational history.

“O*Net Ability Profiler,” Nov. 7 from 9 a.m.-noon. This is a career exploration tool that helps clients plan work lives using a paper and pencil format with optional apparatus parts and computerized scoring.

“CareerCenter Youth Orientation,” Nov. 13 from 10 a.m.-noon. This is for youths ages 16-21 looking for a job who would like career guidance.

“Creating Your Professional Portfolio,” Nov. 13 from 10-11 a.m. Creating a personal portfolio allows you to document your acquisition of knowledge, skills and expertise.

“MEOC 101 – Essentials of College Planning,” Nov. 13 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. This workshop will offer instructions on filling out financial aid forms to assist in getting the maximum amount in grants or loans. Those interested in attending must pre-register for this session by calling 1-800-281-3703.

“Ace That Interview!” Nov. 13 from 1-3 p.m. Learn how to prepare yourself for a successful job interview.

“Preparing Your Résumé for Online Applications,” Nov. 17 from 1:30-3 p.m. Learn to format a résumé so it can be attached to an on-line application. Bring work and educational history.
