PARIS – Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, South Paris, invites all children to Sunday school and all adults to “Making the Old Story Our Story” at 9 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 26. They welcome all to worship service at 10:15 a.m. on Reformation Sunday, Oct. 26, followed by coffee, refreshments and fellowship.

Bible Study is held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, followed by refreshments. All are welcome.

Craft fair

OXFORD – The Oxford Fire Relief Organization will hold its sixth annual craft fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Oxford Public Safety Building, Route 26. There will be crafts, homemade chowders, stews and cutlery for sale.

Chinese auction

PARIS – A Chinese auction will be held Saturday, Oct. 25, in the Oxford Hills High School cafeteria. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. and the auction will begin at 5.

There will be more than 500 items, a 50/50 raffle and $1 table. Food will be available. Proceeds will benefit the Oxford Fair.

Bayberry fair

HARRISON – The Bolsters Mills Ladies Guild will hold its fourth annual Bayberry Craft Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church, Bolsters Mills Road.

There will be artisans and crafters, with a chocolatier making homemade chocolates and other treats, jewelry makers, a potter and a chair caner. There will be craft tables upstairs and downstairs this year.

Refreshments and lunch will be served by the Norway Girl Scout troop.

Bridge play

WATERFORD – The Waterford Library will sponsor a bridge group that will meet at the library at 6:30 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month beginning Oct. 27.

No partner is necessary. Beginning and experienced players are welcome.

This will be an informal group where participants may learn from each other. For information, call 583-2729.

Garden club

BUCKFIELD – The Buckfield Garden Club will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the home of Liz Buckley, 88 Turner St. There will be a short program, then members will review the Steering Committee’s suggestions for the coming year. For more information, call 336-3836. Everyone is welcome.

Scout journey

PARIS – Girl Scouts of Maine is offering a Girl Scout journey for all girls in grades kindergarten to six at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Paris Elementary School, South Paris.

It is an opportunity for girls to join Scouts and learn the benefits. Activities will include nature craft, outdoor cooking and an active station. Girls must be accompanied by an adult.

Trick-treat night

NORWAY – Norway Rehab and Living Center, 29 Marion Ave., will hold its annual Trick or Treat Night on Friday, Oct. 31, along with the Haunted Graveyard and Haunted House for ages 11 and under. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and close at 7. For more information, call Georgia at 743-7075.

Storytime

WATERFORD – The Waterford Library will offer a Halloween storytime for young children at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31. The library will welcome trick-or-treat visitors from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Bridge winners

NORWAY – Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Oct. 17 in the Fare Share Building, Main Street. A five-table Howell movement was played.

Finishing first in Flight A were Pete Cummings and Dick Allen; second, Bill Bowman and Mike Quinn; third, Woody Mercier and Richard Balian.

Finishing first in Flight B were Lois Barr and Cynthia Clifford; second, Barbara Beegel and Bob Kirchherr; third, Suzanne Andrews and Carol Curran.
