The Twin Cities will host a how-to fair Saturday morning at the Multi-Purpose Center.

Local home improvement specialists will demonstrate household maintenance projects, with emphasis on energy savings and staying warm this winter.

Demonstrations include weatherization projects and using window quilts and draft stoppers, safe heating practices, and easy ways to enhance landscaping.

Information will also be available about home ownership and taxes, saving money on renovations with used building materials and adult education classes on housing improvement projects. There will also be information about energy audits and insulation.

The fair is sponsored by the cities of Lewiston and Auburn. It runs from 10 a.m. to noon Oct. 25 at the Multi-Purpose Center, 145 Birch St. Some do-it-yourself classes will continue until 1 p.m.
