CARTHAGE – New England Celtic Arts will present Prince Edward Island fiddler/step dancer Cynthia MacLeod Sunday, Oct. 26, at Skye Theatre Performing Arts Center.

The show will begin at 7 p.m. with a preshow jam at 6:15 p.m.

MacLeod is known for her soft-spoken, down-home charm and electrifying shows filled with fun, fiddling and step-dancing. She has built an international reputation founded in raw talent and nurtured by boundless energy. She has toured across Canada, through New England and in the Orient.

In a part of the world known for talented fiddlers, fellow musicians have given her more than a dozen Music PEI awards, including multiple awards as Roots/Traditional Artist of the Year and Instrumental Artist of the Year. Audiences have also twice chosen her as Entertainer of the Year.

In that time, she has produced three critically acclaimed CDs: “Head Over Heels” (2002), “Crackerjack” (2004) and “Hot Off The Floor” (2007).
