LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Oct. 20 with 20 members present.
Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with prayer, salute to the flag and a moment of silence for departed members and for the men and women in the armed services.
Reported on the sick list were Marie Leblanc, Dora Slovak, Walter Ellingwood and Doris Simoneau. The 50-50 was won by Lucille Frechette and the raffle of a scarf made by Marilyn Desoto, was won by Blanche Bilodeau.
The meeting was adjourned and cards and games were played.
The Senior Citizens met Oct. 13 with 35 members and a guest, Peggy Dwyer, present.
Couture opened the meeting and welcomed back were Joan Lauzier and Betty Richards. Reported on the sick list were Marie Leblanc, Dora Slovak and Norman Duguay.
Peggy Dwyer spoke about her candidacy for the state legislature and she distributed flyers. She also spoke about the availability of therapy dogs.
George Doiron sang “Blowing in the Wind” and a successful Chinese auction was held. The 50-50 was won by Elvina Miller. The meeting was adjourned and cards and games were played.
