Elly Russell, 3, of Auburn, checks out the controls of a CH-53E “Super Stallion” helicopter at the Auburn-Lewiston Municipal Airport Friday afternoon. The Marine troop and cargo transport vessel was in the area as part of a 10-day training detachment out of MCAS New River in North Carolina. The three-engine aircraft was one of six flying in the area. They are expected to depart on Monday.
