PORTLAND (AP) – Maine home sales continue to go down.
According to the Maine Association of Realtors, real estate agents sold 928 existing single-family homes in the state in September, down 9.7 percent from the same month last year.
The median sales price of those homes was $177,750. That’s down 6.5 percent from September 2007.
For the three-month period from July through September, home sales statewide fell 21 percent. Home sale declines were experienced in 14 of Maine’s 16 counties – with only Somerset and Washington counties seeing an increase.
