Fryeburg bowler wins women’s open

SACO – The Maine State Candlepin Bowling Association held its annual Open Singles finals recently the Vacationland Bowling Center.

Winning the Women’s Average Plus Handicap division was Jennifer Layne-Eastman of Saco Valley Sports Center in Fryeburg with a 10-string total with handicap added 1,466. In the men’s division, Norm Bouffard of Big 20 came out on top with a total of 1,543. Mike Stuart of Saco Valley was fifth at 1,482. The Next Maine Candlepin Bowling Association finals will be the Doubles on Nov. 22-23 at Saco Valley.
