Final bingo

LOVELL – VFW Post 678 Auxiliary will hold the last bingo of the season on Friday, Oct. 31. Since it is Halloween, the auxiliary will award a prize for the best costume. Everyone is encouraged to attend in costume.

There will be a public breakfast at the VFW hall at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2. The cost will be $5 a person

A dance will be held from 8 a.m. to midnight Saturday, Nov. 15, for those age 21 and up. The cost is $10 a person. For reserved seats, call 935-1239. Dance to Linwood Cash and the Country Ridge Riders.

All Saints Day

PARIS – Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, South Paris, invites all children to Sunday school and all adults to “Making the Old Story Our Story” at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, All Saints Day, then stay for worship at 10:15 a.m.

It will be followed by refreshments, coffee and fellowship. The church also invites all to Bible study at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, followed by refreshments.

Founder’s Day

OXFORD – The Twin Town Nature Club, founded in 1923, will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at the Oxford Congregational Church for a Founder’s Day potluck supper. Larry LaBossiere will report on Australia. Visitors are welcome. For information, call John Crumpton at 539-2902.

Fitness walking

BRIDGTON – The Step into Fitness indoor walking program at Lake Region High School will run from 5 to 6:3 p.m. Mondays and Fridays, beginning Monday, Nov. 3. The Bridgton Community Center invites residents to take advantage of a warm and safe environment to stay fit. The program is free and open to the public. All ages and abilities are welcome.

Meeting schedule

NORWAY – The Norway-Paris Fish and Game Association will hold meetings at the Norway Town Office, Danforth Street, for the next several months according to the following schedule:

Directors meetings, Nov. 6, Dec. 4, Jan. 1, Feb. 5, March 5 and April 2; club meetings, Nov. 20, Dec. 18, Jan. 15, Feb. 19, March 19 and April 16. Visitors and new members are welcome. Memberships for 2009 are available at the meetings.
