The Jay High School Drama Department is hoping to earn enough money through its annually sponsored Lip Sync Contest to buy a new sound system and light board, drama teacher, Kristel Anuszewski said. The contest will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, in the school cafeteria. Admission is $2. There are 16 acts scheduled to perform including three drama classes who will be singing and dancing. to “Barbie Girl,” a Lollipop medley, and a dance-off medley. Rehearsing for the event are, in no particular order, Beth Bibeau, Gabby Reed, Chelsea Fortier, Brandon Shink, Kelsey Macomber, Brie Pottle, Chelsea Freeman and Jessica Douglas. Doors open at 6:40 p.m.
