RUMFORD – To raise money for Special Olympics Maine, officers from law enforcement agencies in Oxford County will play a flag football game against SAD 43’s Mountain Valley High School Falcons football team Sunday, Nov. 2.
Game time at the Hosmer Field complex is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donations will be collected at the gate. There will be refreshments.
Rumford police Cpl. Doug Maifeld credited Maine State Police Trooper Jason Wing with the idea and promised that police would take it easy on the Falcons, who are expected to enter state playoffs soon.
