TURNER – After trying several times at the end of the season to gather in celebration of another summer of mentoring, a small group of matches from Oxford and Androscoggin counties got together to celebrate.
The Big Brothers Big Sisters Community matches usually spend a day at Range Pond beach. However, this year the weather did not cooperate and Case Manager Diane Blanchard had to call off the event.
After many alternative plans and trying to once again gather as many of people as possible, a small group of about 20 gathered at the Great Outdoors in Turner for a belated celebration.
Blanchard said, “It is the first time I can remember having to cancel the Range Pond day, but the small group that came to the Turner site had a good time.”
