Proud Obama voter

FARMINGTON – Don Nicolson of Farmington said he was proud to cast his vote Tuesday for Barack Obama and other Democratic candidates.

“He’s probably the most intelligent candidate that we’ve had since John F. Kennedy,” he said. “He’ll go down in history … after eight years … for turning the country around.”

Nicolson said he was opposed to casinos in Maine and felt the referendum question regarding taxes on beverages was really about a tax on the sugar in any drink.

Nicolson also agreed with his wife, Barbara, that way too much money was spent on this year’s elections.
