HEBRON – Liz DeVincenzo scored two goals and Kailey Bubier recorded a goal and two assists to lead Hebron Academy to a 4-0 win over Gould Academy in the MAISAD field hockey championship game, giving the Lumberjacks their fourth consecutive MAISAD title.
Hebron opened the scoring just four minutes in when Brianna Bisesti tipped in a feed from Camree Thompson and Bubier. Scoreless play continued for the first 20 minutes of the second half before DeVincenzo tipped in a ball on the far post, assisted Bubier.
This gave Hebron a 2-0 lead a little breathing room, and the Lumberjacks were able to convert two additional goals, one each from Bubier and DeVincenzo, late in the game which provided a little added insurance. Goalie Meghan Munro earned her ninth shutout in 15 games.
