Wrap-up report

OXFORD – Oxford County Republicans will hear a 2008 election wrap-up report at a meeting to be held on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at the Oxford Advent Christian Church, Route 26.

A ham dinner prior to the meeting will be provided by the Hannibal Hamlin Women’s Republican Club.

A social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. followed by the dinner, then a business meeting and the analysis of the 2008 election results. All area Republicans are invited.

Polar Bears meet

RUMFORD – The Rumford Polar Bears Snowmobile Club will meet at 7 p.m Thursday, Nov. 13, at Sam’s Italian Restaurant, Route 2. All are welcome.

Post hole party

RUMFORD – In preparation for the Rock Maple SnoCross Race to be held at Black Mountain on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 13 and 14, the mountain is looking for volunteers to dig post holes and stretch the snow fencing that will be used as part of the course for this year’s race.

A work day will be held starting at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 16. Post hole diggers will be provided. For more information, call 364-8977

Black Mountain Nordic seasons passes are available. Those wishing can obtain a pass before Monday, Dec. 1, in early bird specials.
