LEWISTON – Holy Family Church is hosting a communitywide Ecumenical Veterans Day Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Worship and Spirituality Commission of Holy Family Church invites everyone to attend, regardless of denomination or faith affiliation, and offer their elderly neighbors transportation to this special event.

This is the fifth year the church, located at 607 Sabattus St., has offered We Remember and Give Thanks. It’s an evening of refection, honoring those who have served and those who are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

The Rev. Nathan March, parochial vicar for Prince of Peace Parish, and the Rev. Lissa Bradford of The Hospice House will co-preside. Clergy from the area have been invited to participate.

Lewiston-Auburn area choir members will provide music under the direction of Henry St. Pierre. Paul G. Caron will accompany the group, performing his own arrangement of military songs that honor the different branches of the military as the flags for each are presented.

All active and inactive military and their families are invited to attend; all active service soldiers, either living in the area or home on leave, are being urged to attend in uniform.
