BRUNSWICK – The Center Stage Players will present Thornton Wilder’s well-known one-act play, “Pullman Car Hiawatha,” at The Theater Project in Brunswick on Friday, Nov. 14 and Saturday, Nov. 15, at 2 p.m.

“Pullman Car Hiawatha,” which Wilder wrote in the early ’30s in the style he perfected in “Our Town,” is the story of one night on a pullman car. The cast of 10 will play multiple roles in this production.

In addition to “Pullman Car Hiawatha,” the Center Stage Players will present Ann Cort’s one-act play, “The Dreadful Day,” a humorous and remarkably accurate look at two Center Stage Company rehearsals. The ensemble of 10 will also perform improvisations, which are always fun, funny and popular.

Members of the Center Stage Company are Millie Ackley, Joan Brewer, Lollie Brown, Ann Cort, Eleanor Graff, Patricia Johnson, Vivian Kemp, Rodney Sarle, John and Kathleen Sutherland and Susan White. Al Miller directs the ensemble.

“Pullman Car Hiawatha and More” will be performed in a reader’s theater format (script in hand), and the show will last a short hour. The Theater Project and The Center Stage Players recommend a donation of $5 for the performance. For more information, call The Theater Project box office at 729-8584.
