BRUNSWICK – Local songstress, producer and pianist Kate Schrock will introduce her eclectic trio featuring jazz drummer/trumpeter Marc Chillemi of New York and guitarist Jeff Jeff Rojo of Mexico City when she returns to Frontier in the Fort Andross Mill Saturday, Nov. 29.

Also performing will be special guest Dave Rave of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Best known for his work in the late ’70s and early ’80s as front man for the punk rock group Teenage Head, Rave has morphed into a New York underground jazz/folk poet extraordinaire and continues to build his production credits, which includes Schrock’s “Indiana” CD from 2003.

Schrock and Rave have been working together for the past 16 years on and off the road, penning such tunes as “If Loving You,” a local WCLZ radio hit from “Indiana.”

“Every once in a while our schedules will fall just right and Dave Rave will be able to squeeze into his busy schedule a local Maine show with us. He is regularly touring Europe, Canada and all over the U.S. Rave is a rare and engaging performer and writer, his shows here in Maine have attracted and built a fanatic local audience,” Schrock said. “We absolutely love his energy with us on stage.”

Schrock’s music is deeply reflective but also spiritually uplifting with personal and social commentary. The addition of Chillemi and Rojo fleshes out her normally sparse and laid-bare solo piano shows and gives her material rich color and vibrancy.

The concert will begin at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12 advance/$15 at the door (limited seating). Call 725-5222 or visit www.explorefrontier.com.
