AUBURN – The Lakeside Players, the student theater troupe at Central Maine Community College, will present three one-act plays about relationships Thursday and Friday, Dec. 4-5.

The first show, “Scuba Lessons,” a comedy by Joseph Zeccola, is about a young woman trying to find her soulmate on a blind date at a coffee shop. The play is directed by Mitchell Clyde Thomas, Lakeside Players adviser and an adjunct instructor at the college. The cast includes Katie St. Pierre, Drew Masse, Katie Feliciano, Kaylee Lessard and Thomas.

The second show, a comedy by Howard Buermann called “Quiet Please,” is directed by both Thomas and St. Pierre. The major characters are two brothers who share a small cabin but haven’t spoken to each other in more than 10 years and whose lives are turned upside down when they receive a visit from a mysterious woman. The feuding siblings are played by Patrick Milligan and Zach Grassette. Other cast members are Masse, Sandra Copeland, Tonya Hebert, Josie Desjardins and Alyssa Pete.

The third show, “Truant Husbands,” is directed by St. Pierre and stars Feliciano and Lessard as two wives distraught over their husbands’ failure to come home after a night out at the club.

The plays will begin at 7 p.m. in Kirk Hall Auditorium on the CMCC campus. Admission is free and open to the public. One of the plays contains some mild adult language. For more information about the Lakeside Players, contact Thomas at mthomas@cmcc.edu.
