POULTNEY, Vt. (AP) – Police investigating the bludgeoning death of a Castleton State College teacher have seized several items from her home, including three cast-iron frying pans.

The revelation in court papers filed in connection with a search warrant comes less than two weeks after an associate of David Denny, 41, told police Denny had told him of killing Linda Wiggin, 49, with a frying pan.

Aside from a court affidavit detailing the conversation with a man who lived at the Brandon home where Denny stayed after the alleged killing, police have not publicly identified the weapon used against Wiggin.

Denny is being held for lack of $750,000 bail on a murder charge.
