NORWAY – Locally created artwork on sale for $250 or less will be featured at this year’s Western Maine Art Group annual holiday party Sunday, Dec. 7.
“Wonderful art can be affordable. We hope this holiday sale and exhibit will help people envision what beautiful and meaningful holiday gifts this local artwork can make,” said WMAG Co-president Aranka Matolcsy.
Attendees will be entered into a drawing for an original piece of art and will also have an opportunity to bid on local goods and services at a silent auction fundraiser. Hearty holiday fare, desserts, wine and spirits will be served (included in the ticket price). Tickets are $15 per person, $25 per couple.
The holiday party, WMAG’s major annual fundraiser, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at the art group’s gallery, Lajos Matolcsy Arts Center at 480 Main St. This year, proceeds will go toward keeping the MAC open to host art classes all winter long for the first time in many years.
