FARMINGTON – Colby limited Maine-Farmington to four field goals on 16.7 percent shooting in the first half and coasted to a 63-49 men’s basketball triumph on Wednesday.

The Beavers (2-2) actually led 6-0 on 3-pointers by Pat Howell and Eric Lelansky, but Colby (4-3) went on a 16-2 run to take command and led 32-16 at the half.

Adam Choise led the Mules with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Eric Taylor scored 13 points and Ted Neil 10 to lead UMF.

St. Joseph’s 58, Norwich 52

STANDISH – Tyler Kelley scored a career-high 22 points to lead St. Joseph’s to a 58-52 victory oevr Norwich.

Norwich (1-5) stayed in contention behind the double-doubles of Antonio Davis (10 points, 17 rebounds) and Robert Thurman (13 points, 13 rebounds). Ray Eatmon added 13 rebounds for the Monks (4-1).

Maine 54, Robert Morris 52

ORONO – Maine nearly squandered a 17-point halftime advantage, but held on for a 54-52 victory over Robert Morris on Wednesday.

Tanna Ross paced the Black Bears (2-4) with 14 points including a pair of 3-pointers. Brittany Boser was 4-of-5 from the field and perfect from the line in four tries for 12 points while Samantha Baranowski registered 10 points. Boser and Kristin Baker each pulled down seven rebounds for Maine.

Monet Johnson drained a game-high 18 points for Robert Morris (2-4).
