The wharf is 12 feet high and is constructed of railroad ties and rocks. For three months the members have been working on the wharf, which is practically completed. In the spring a boathouse will be constructed. The cottage, which is very convenient in arrangement, was erected three years ago.

POLAND – A new computer system, authorized at a special town meeting in June, has been installed at the town office and has been placed in limited use.

Town Manager Richard L. Chick said initial work involves experimenting with the system on a budget development program.

Procured from Management Services of Hallowell, the system consists of a video display terminal, a disc drive for program information and a printer. Chick said this particular system was selected because it is expandable and can be utilized as an independent station or as part of a multi-use system.

The town manager said that at this point it appears the next step in the operation will be to switch to a hard disc system. A day-long training session was held last week when the system was delivered.
