RUMFORD – There will be an Elks National Free Throw Hoop Shoot contest Sunday, Dec. 14 at Mountain Valley High School. The contest is open to all boys and girls ages 8 to 13. Age groups will be be determined by players’ ages as of April 1, 2009. Registration is at 8 a.m., with the shoot-off at 9 a.m. Please bring a parent or guardian as well as a birth certificate. SACO – Orthopaedic Associates and Frozen Ropes Baseball and Softball Training Center will conduct a seminar for baseball coaches and parents on Sunday. Jan. 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Orthopaedic Associates’ new facility at 15 Lunn Road in Saco.
