SALEM, N.H. – The Lewiston Jr. Maineiacs Squirt Travel team fell one game shy of the semifinals in the recent Cornucopia Cup hockey tournament.

Lewiston started with an impressive 8-0 shutout of the Warwick (R.I.) Wave. Isaac Dube led the way with two goals and one assist. Cooper Richard also scored two goals. Luc Dostie logged a goal and an assist, while Cameron Dionne, Roman Dennis and Justin Keaney each scored for the Jr. Maineiacs. Kyle Morin contributed a pair of assists. Jeromey Rancourt, Joseph Bisson, Bryce Leger, Keaney and Dionne each tallied an assist.

Concord (N.H.) Capitals jumped out to a 2-0 lead on their way to a 7-3 win over Lewiston. Concord matched Lewiston’s two goals in the second period to maintain its lead. Keaney collected two goals for the Jr. Maineiacs, with Richard registering the other. Rancourt and Bisson acquired the assists.

Dube and Bisson scored second-period goals in a 3-1 win over Westfield (Mass.) Westfield cut the lead in half early in the third, but Ryley Austin answered and sent the Juniors on their way with three minutes remaining. Austin and Dostie were credited with Lewiston assists.

A quick 2-1 lead over Haverhill (Mass.) disappeared with six consecutive goals in a 7-2 elimination-game defeat. Richard and Dennis scored the Lewiston counters. Bisson and Rancourt assisted.

Kyle Welsh and Devin Dumont shared goaltending duties throughout the tourney.
