FARMINGTON – Two men facing burglary and related charges stemming from camp break-ins on Porter Lake in June pleaded not guilty during court appearances here Thursday.

The two-day spree of vandalism and burglaries caused more than $100,000 in damage to 27 camps in New Vineyard and Strong.

Timothy Lagasse, 20, of Farmington, pleaded not guilty to 16 felony counts of burglary, 15 misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief and four misdemeanor counts of theft.

Shane Sturgeon, 21, of Livermore, pleaded not guilty to 27 felony counts of burglary, seven felony counts of aggravated criminal mischief, 18 misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief and five misdemeanor theft count.

Both men were indicted on the charges in November. Five others face charges in connection to the case.
