AUBURN – Allaina Murphy scored 12 of her game-high 16 points in the first half to lead St. Dom’s to a 46-28 victory over Sacopee Valley in girls’ basketball action Saturday.

The Hawks (0-5) struggled to get on track against St. Dom’s full-court pressure. After opening a 15-5 advantage afger the first quarter, the Saints (1-3) went on a 16-2 over the next eight minutes to seal the victory. Reserves played most of the second half for the Saints.

Mary Lewis chipped in with 11 points, including a 3-pointer. Amanda Villineau led Sacopee Valley with 10 points.

Greely 56, Poland 17

POLAND – Sara Warnock led a balanced attack with 10 points as Greely posted a 56-17 victory over Poland.

Greely jumped out to a 14-4 advantage after one quarter and extended the lead to 34-10 and 45-10 over the next two quarters. Eleven of the Rangers’s 12 p[layers scored at least two points.

Alexa Doyer led Poland (0-6) with seven points and Cassie Mocciola added six.

Gray-NG 64, Wells 44

GRAY – Terri Lynn Sanborn sank five 3-pointers to spark Gray-New Gloucester to a 64-44 triumph over Wells in a WMC girls’ basketball game Saturday.

The Patriots (4-2) trailed 21-16 after the first period, but they tightened their defense and limited the Warriors to 23 points for the remainder of the game.

Sanborn finished with 17 points, while Laura Getchell added 13 points. Alicia Valente had nine rebounds and Rachel Clement was credited with seven assists.

Lily Colley scored 23 points for Wells (2-4).

Winslow 40, Oak Hill 36

WINSLOW – Freshman forward Megan Pelletier notched 14 points to lead Winslow to a 40-36 victory over Oak Hill in KVAC girls’ basketball action Saturday.

The Black Raiders (4-1) led 15-13 at the half and went up by as much as six points in the third quarter. Freshman center Elizabeth Ferry contributed 12 points for Winslow.

Pelletier was fouled late in the fourth quarter and connected for two foul shots with 30 seconds remaining in regulation to secure the win for the Black Raiders.

Sophomore forward Maggie Sabine posted 13 points and Carrie Hayden chipped in with 10 points for the Raiders (2-3).
