The Auburn-Lewiston YMCA’s 5th-6th grade boys’ travel basketball team jumped out to a 23-3 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, winning its third game in a row, 50-37, over Winslow.

Bryce Gibson led the way with 14 points, with Luke Sterling adding 11 and Ian Mileikis 10. Seth Sterling chipped in with five points, while C.J. Jipson and Llewellyn Jensen each had four. Rounding out the scoring were Drew Lashua and Kaileb Tremaine with two each. The Y looks to continue its winning ways against Gardiner this weekend.

Livermore Falls last team unbeaten in WMYBL

In a battle of unbeaten teams, Livermore Falls defeated Oxford Hills 43-28 in Week 4. Livermore Falls was led by Emily Keene with 14 points, while Taylor Boynton added nine. Oxford Hills was paced by Shannon Kriger with eight.

Maranacook defeated Farmington 42-23. Maranacook was led by Christine Miller and Sarah Clough with 14 each. Farmington’s leading scorers were Bator with 11 and Brinkman with six.

Dixfield defeated Auburn Rec, 36-10. Dixfield was led by Kelsey Hutchins with 18 and Emma Leubers with 10. Jessica Conant led Auburn with four.
