AUBURN – The Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre will stage “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” January 23-29, at Great Falls Performing Arts Center on Academy Street.

The two-act play, with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts, enjoyed a long-running and record-breaking Off-Broadway run of 5,001 performances over 12 years in New York City.

The musical explores the comedic turns in dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws. It pays tribute to those who have loved and lost and to those who are still in love after many years. It is a musical celebration of modern-day romance.

Ellen Peters is directing the show. The four-member cast that will represent several characters within the hilarious revue is made up of Duane Glover, Cheryl Reynolds, Alice Ruvane and Michael Litchfield.

Peters will be assisted by Linda Britt in directing; and Eileen Messina is mentor. Paul G. Caron is music director/pianist. Hilary Ginsburg is violinist.

Karen Mayo heads the production crew assisted by Pat Phillips who is also light board operator and overseeing props. Other crew members are Richard Martin, light designer; Chad Gagnon, sound designer; Stan Spilecki, set designer; Michelle Washburn, stage manager; Jackie McDonald, costumess; Melody Driscoll, rehearsal prompter; Celeste Philippon, program; Linda Duarte and Andie Hannon, stage crew; and Rachel Morin, publicist.
