FARMINGTON – Mickey’s Hallmark on Main Street was broken into and an undisclosed amount of cash taken Saturday night.

An employee opening the store on Sunday morning discovered the burglary and called police, said police Detective Marc Bowering.

Entry was gained through the back door. The amount of cash taken was not released, but Bowering said it was a “decent amount.”

The cash was locked up and was the only thing taken, leading police to believe the thief must have known about it.

There was no other damage, he said.
