NEW GLOUCESTER – Two singer/songwriters, Addie Thompson and Britta Pejic, will play Saturday, Jan. 3, at the New Gloucester Village Coffee House at the First Congregational Church.

Thompson, a freshman at Brown University, is making a name for herself in the coffeehouses of Providence. R.I., and in Portland. She produced her first CD when she was 17. Her style is in the folk/rock/pop tradition with lyrics that are original and emotive.

A native of South Portland, Pejic has played in rock/punk/pop/country ensembles, including a number of bands in Austin, Texas. Employed as a teacher, she writes songs that are quirky, offbeat commentaries on modern life, played with humor.

The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and seniors. The church is at Church and Gloucester Hill roads.

For more information, call the church office, 926-3260, or Julie Fralich, 926-3161; or log on to www.ngucc.org.
