WALES – School board member Gregory Johnson stepped up Tuesday to replace former Selectman Randall Greenwood, who resigned to become a county commissioner.

Johnson was elected by 36 attendees at a special town meeting and immediately sworn in. He will fill out the remaining 2 years of Greenwood’s term.

School officials plan to elect someone to finish Johnson’s remaining six months, and must get selectmen’s approval.
