LEWISTON – WorkReady, L/A’s well-received and employer-endorsed training initiative has begun taking applications for a limited number of openings for its next program, scheduled to begin Jan. 26. Candidates will be meeting five days per week, Monday through Friday, for three weeks. The program will be offered at B-Street Community Center on Birch Street in Lewiston. There is no cost for participants.
Applicants may begin the process through the Lewiston CareerCenter. When calling (753-9026, or toll free, 800-741-2991), candidates should note “WorkReady” as their program of interest.
The WorkReady training is being facilitated through a partnership between Lewiston Adult Education, the Lewiston CareerCenter, the Central/Western Workforce Investment Board, Coastal Enterprises Inc., and DHHS/ASPIRE.
