PORTLAND – Good Theater will present the award-winning musical comedy “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” Jan. 22 to Feb. 15 for a run of 17 performances.

“Forum” was nominated for eight Tony Awards in 1963 and won six, including Best Musical. The 1972 revival received two Tony Awards and the 1996 revival was nominated for four Tony Awards, winning one for its leading actor, Nathan Lane.

A classic musical comedy from the golden age of Broadway, “Forum” is wacky, funny and filled with jokes, gags and double takes.

Brian P. Allen is the director with Tyler Sperry serving as choreographer.

Shows will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, tickets $20; at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, $28/$25; and at 2 p.m. Sunday, $28/$25. There will also be a Saturday matinee at 3 p.m. Feb. 14, $20.

Good Theater is the theater-in-residence at the St. Lawrence Arts Center, 76 Congress St. For tickets and information, call the box office at 885-5883.
