AUBURN – Auburn attorneys Gretchen L. Jones and Bryan M. Dench will be presenters at the Maine State Bar Association’s 2009 annual meeting. The meeting, which will be held Jan. 29-30 in Portland, will host more than 200 attorneys from throughout the state.

Jones will speak on “Predatory Lending in Maine: The Problem, Maine’s Solution and Federal Obstacles to Uniform Implementation.”

She is a shareholder and director at Skelton Taintor & Abbott. Her practice is focused on representing and counseling financial institutions and other businesses. She also advises clients as to state and federal trademark and federal copyright matters. She is a graduate of Bowdoin College and the University of Maine School of Law.

Dench will address the Freedom of Access Law and Journal Privilege/Shield Law.

He is also a shareholder and director at Skelton Taintor & Abbott and is chairman of the board of directors. He concentrates his practice in the areas of trusts and estates, taxation, corporate and business planning, municipal and government, schools and higher education, taxation, zoning and land use. He is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Maine School Of Law.
