WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) – The chief financial officer for the Tribune Co. says the media company is working on a business plan that will help it emerge from bankruptcy.

Chandler Bigelow III told a bankruptcy trustee and creditors at hearing Friday in Delaware that the newspaper and television station owner will provide details about the business purposes of more than 100 Tribune entities involved in its bankruptcy filing.

He says the company is focused on restructuring its balance sheet and creating a platform that will allow it to continue its businesses.

Bigelow and Tribune attorneys were also questioned about why one of two solvency opinions connected to a leveraged buyout that took the company private was never made public.
