“CareerCenter Employment and Training Orientation” is held Mondays except Feb. 16 (Presidents’ Day), 10 a.m.-noon. It provides an introduction to CareerCenter services.

“CareerCenter and Job Search Orientation” is held Tuesdays from 9 a.m.-noon. It offers an overview of what is available to assist people who are looking for work.

“Resume Writing,” Feb. 2, 1:30-3 p.m., and again on Feb. 23, also 1:30-3 p.m. explores basics of résumés and applications and what can make a résumé or application stand out.

“Job Search Skills,” Feb. 4, 10 a.m.-noon, and again on Feb. 13 and 19, 1-3 p.m. teaches how to conduct an effective job search and explore how employers hire and methods to use in a job search.

“Preparing Your Resume For Online Applications,” Feb. 9, 1:30-3 p.m. Format a résumé so it can be attached to an on-line application. Bring work and educational history.

“CareerCenter Youth Orientation,” Feb. 12 and again Feb. 26, 10 a.m.-noon. Orientation to CareerCenter services for people ages 16-21.

“MEOC 101 – Essentials of College Planning,” Feb. 12, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Instructions on filling out financial aid forms to assist in getting the maximum amount in grants or loans. Pre-register for this session by calling 1-800-281-3703.

“Ace That Interview!” Feb. 19, 1-3 p.m. Learn how to prepare for a successful job interview.

“Creating Your Professional Portfolio,” Feb. 19, 10-11 a.m. Document acquisition of knowledge, skills and expertise.

“O*Net Ability Profiler,” Feb. 20, 9 a.m.-noon. This is a career exploration tool that helps clients plan work lives using a paper and pencil format with optional apparatus parts and computerized scoring.
