YARMOUTH – Sophie Goulet registered four goals Wednesday to spark St. Dom’s to a 6-3 triumph opver Yarmouth in girls’ hockey action Wednesday.

Yarmouth jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period on goals by Brianna Bialek and Hannah Schubert.

The Saints (9-6) roared back with four goals in the second to take control for good. Alex Landry and Ali Hebert also tallied for St. Dom’s to complete the scoring.

Nicole Keene and Missy Bourgoin combined for 21 saves in net for St. Dom’s, while Kelly Casper turned aside six shots for Yarmouth.

NYA 2, Hebron 0

NORTH YARMOUTH – Courtney Dumont netted a pair of first-period goals Thursday as North Yarmouth Academy skated to a 2-0 victory over Hebron.

Katie Avery made 36 saves betwwen the pipes for the Panthers to notch the shutout. Emma Valli turned aside 18 shots in net for the Lumberjacks.

Rangeley 54, Kents Hill 38

RANGELEY – Angela White poured in a game-high 21 points to lead Rangeley to a 54-38 victory over Kents Hill.

Kents Hill (4-5) jumped out to a three-point lead in the first quarter before the Lakers (8-5) used a 14-6 run in the second to take control. Sam Olivieri chipped in for Rangeley with 10 points in a well-balanced attack.

Kents Hill was paced by Natalie Tortorella with a 13-point effort, while Brittany Sharpe added nine.

Mt. Abram 76, Wiscasset 27

WISCASSET – Mt. Abram built a 27-point lead in the first half and rolled on to post a 76-27 victory in MVC girls’ basketball matchup Wednesday.

Mikayla Burbank led the Roadrunners (8-4) with a career-high 21 points, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals. Kenni Norton chipped in with 16 points, the only other player in double figures.

Wiscasset (1-11) was paced by Mary True with a 17-point performance.

Buckfield 67, NYA 62

NORTH YARMOUTH – Lindsay Henderson drained a game-high 28 points Wednesday as Buckfield squeaked out a 67-62 win over North Yarmouth.

Abby Jones chipped in for the Bucks with 17 points, while Emily Eastman added 12. Buckfield was up by two at the half, then used 16-13 run in the third quarter to take control.

NYA was paced by Kayla Merrill with a 19-point effort, while Darcy Haggett added 17.
