Another thrilling fall season here at St. Dom’s! The athletes and coaches clearly demonstrated the class and character that St. Dominic Regional High School stands for and has been known for.

The 2007 State Championship golf team, once again did a phenomenal job this year when they again represented our school in the State Championship match. The golf team repeated history this season by winning the Western Maine Conference, and then heading to the state match. This season the St. Dom’s golf team became the 2008 State Champions winning the state match by 28 strokes.

The 2007 state champion boys’ soccer team had another great season. Ending the regular season in 2nd place and winning the Western Maine Conference again the boys had another successful year.

The girls’ soccer team certainly had the tenacity and fight of a championship team this year. The girls had to fight this season for a playoff spot, but their hard work played off as they made it into playoffs and through the first round. With an unfortunate loss to Mt. Abram in overtime of the second round of playoffs, the girls have never showed more heart then in that game.

The field hockey team with a new goalie and an ending record of 13-1 was a powerhouse team again this year. The offensive end of the field was handled with multiple goal scorers while the back field showed patience and skill. The St. Dom’s field hockey team won the WMC for the 7th out of 8 years.

The cross country team did very well this year as many of the returning runners shaved many seconds or minutes off of their best time from last year. This year the girls XC team earned a spot in the state meet, by tying for 4th place in the WMC championship. At the state meet, the girls finished again tying for 4th place. On the boy’s side of the XC team, all of the boys raced well, improving their times throughout the season. We were represented at the state meet with one entry, placing 23rd in the WMC championship race and finished 25th at the state meet.

Congratulations to all of our student-athletes and coaches on another fantastic season.

Thank you for representing our school with integrity and excellence.
