JAY — A train derailed shortly before 10 a.m. on a section of rail off the Crash Road.

From what could be seen, two Pan Am box cars were tipped over, one was leaning and two appeared to be off the track, according to Jay police and people at the scene.

The contents of the cars was not known.

The train was headed south loaded with paper products from the mill.
