LEWISTON – Denny Breau’s dazzlingly clear style allows him to do amazing things with a six-string guitar.

His lightning fast guitar lines are balanced with those that have a quiet intimacy and wrap tenderly around his carefully crafted songs.

He mixes genres with ease – folk, Delta blues, country and jazz and often demonstrates the guitar style of Chet Atkins, who was a family friend and major influence.

Breau, who became the youngest inductee in the history of the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame in 2004, will play from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at Little Dan’s BBQ restaurant on Main Street, across from Marden’s. There is no cover charge.
