KEENE, N.H. (AP) – A Keene, N.H, woman says she wants more answers from the Army about her son’s death.

Donna Jean Rogers says the Army told her last week that her son had died in his barracks in Germany, but not how or exactly when. Pvt. Chipper Rogers, 21, had undergone surgery a few weeks ago to repair an eardrum that had been ruptured in an explosion.

Rogers says her son wanted to return to active duty but it took months for Army doctors to operate. Representatives from Sen. Judd Gregg and Rep. Paul Hodes’ offices have promised to help her get more information.
