Dear Sun Spots: I am looking for someone who repairs luggage. On my large piece the handle that normally pulls up for easy wheeling is stuck and the leather strap is broken. Please call the following number 782-2582. Thank you. No Name, No Town.
Dear Sun Spots: Your service is so valuable to the community. We have two sewing machines that we would like to donate to a civic organization to be put to good use.
We have serviced them and they are in good running order. We also have a couple of older working computers (windows 98 SE) with monitors and keyboards that we would like to donate. We have some office partitions and miscellaneous desktops of various sizes and shapes for offices. To get the office partitions they must take it all.
We are still selling and repairing sewing machines at Cote Brothers Sewing Machines, 730 Center St., Auburn, in the Auburn Plaza. Natalie Simard, who has worked for us for eight years, is taking over the retail division with a partner and will be offering a complete new schedule of classes starting Feb 3.
They have new inventory arriving any day. A class schedule will be posted soon at www.cotebrothers.com.
Ron will still do all the repairs and warranty work so it is business as usual at Cote’s. Thank you. – Ron & Lisa Blake, Auburn.
Dear Sun Spots: Could you please tell me if Reed Party Store in Auburn has closed or has moved. I recently drove by and noticed the store was empty. I am very upset and they have the best selection in town. Thank you. – Jill Jones, Auburn.
Answer: You’ll be happy to know that Reed Party is still open; Sun Spots just visited the store a few weeks ago. In fact, it is two doors down from their old location, at 120 Center St., between Auburn Denture Center and Weight Watchers. They are open 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Sunday.
