GREENE – The Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife will hold a hearing Feb. 25 to limit engines to 10 horsepower on Allen Pond. It begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Greene Fire Department, 106 Patten Road.

The commission will take into consideration the area of internal waters, the use of the waters, depth and water-borne traffic and determine if it is necessary to ensure the safety of people and property at Allen Pond.
