LEWISTON – St. Mary’s Health System welcomes Elizabeth Keene as vice president of mission effectiveness. In that position, Keene provides leadership in the coordination of programs and activities related to values, ethics, Catholic identity and spiritual care, as well as to ensure the mission of St. Mary’s is communicated effectively and integrated into the organization’s professional culture.
She was formerly bereavement coordinator and leadership team member for the Harriet Lane Compassionate Care program at Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore, Md. She also served as a pastoral associate at St. Philip’s Parish in Auburn.
She is a certified associate chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains, and a Fellow in Thanatology: Death, Dying and Bereavement through the Association for Death Education and Counseling.
She recently returned to her hometown of Auburn, where she lives.
