FARMINGTON – Police late Monday night found a 4-year-old boy who had been taken from his father’s North Street home before dawn, police said.
The boy, Zion Lawrence, was OK and was being returned to his father, police said.
The boy’s mother, Jennifer Woodbury, 26, of Indian Ridge, Skowhegan, and Joseph McGee, 31, of 47 Sesame St., Skowhegan, were both charged with aggravated criminal trespass.
Woodbury also was charged with criminal restraint by a parent, police said.
Woodbury and McGee were in Somerset County Jail in Skowhegan after their arrest about 10 p.m., according to Farmington police Sgt. Shane Cote.
Investigators had been looking for Woodbury and McGee since they entered the home of the boy’s father about 3:30 a.m. and took the boy, police said.
The boy’s father suffered facial injuries during the incident at Blueberry Hill Apartments, but no weapons were involved, Farmington police Chief Richard Caton said.
