MEXICO – Two Mexico men escaped injury Tuesday morning after police say one driver slid past a stop sign on snow and collided with the side of a pickup truck at Chase Street and Woodland Avenue.

Steven Patnaude, 50, was driving a 1988 Cadillac DeVille east up Woodland Avenue when he lost control and broadsided a northbound 2006 Toyota pickup truck operated by Roger Fournier, 77, on Chase Street, Sgt. Roy Hodsdon said.

Damage to the Cadillac was estimated at $1,500; to the truck, $2,500. No charges are pending.
