LEWISTON – Between 7 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27, and 7 a.m. Friday, March 6, the Lewiston Police Department responded to 661 calls for service. Of those, 199 were motor vehicle stops.

Criminal Mischief

A vehicle parked at 5 Wood St. had three tires slashed overnight Feb. 27-28.

A vehicle parked at 35 Wood St. was keyed on Feb. 27.

An apartment at 101 Birch St. had a window smashed out at 2 a.m. Feb. 28.

A vehicle parked at 42 Walnut St. at 9 p.m. March 1 had a rear window smashed out by a juvenile wearing a black hoody and light blue jeans.

A vehicle parked in the Chestnut Street garage had a window smashed out between 9 p.m. March 2 and 5 a.m. March 3.

Thefts

A backpack was stolen from a student at Community Hall at 136 Central Ave. between 9 p.m. Feb. 26 and noon Feb. 28.

An employee of Tri County at 1155 Lisbon St. had her laptop computer stolen from her desk overnight March 3-4.

Motor vehicle burglaries

A vehicle parked at Dave’s Auto at 1420 Lisbon St. was burglarized the weekend of Feb. 27 and March 2. A car stereo was taken from inside, entry was gained by breaking a window.

A vehicle parked at 9 Merton Blvd. was burglarized overnight Feb. 27-28. The vehicle was unlocked and a Tom Tom GPS was taken from inside.

Robbery arrests

Christopher Davis, 19, and Joshua Cyr, 19, were arrested on robbery charges at 11:57 a.m. March 3 after a purse snatching in front of 80 Walnut St. The victim was a 73-year-old woman. She was not injured and the purse and contents were returned to her after officer Jacques located the suspect’s vehicle at Horton and Walnut streets.

Burglaries

A snowblower was stolen from a shed at Lever’s Daycare at 50 Mollison Way between Feb. 23 and March 2.

An apartment at 117 Pierce St. was burglarized the weekend of Feb. 27 to March 2. A coffee maker and digital camera were stolen.

OUI arrests

Carl Michelson, 64, operating under the influence and leaving the scene of an accident, 8:56 p.m. Feb. 27 on the Maine Turnpike after a vehicle was struck on the Alfred Plourde Parkway.

Kathy Ray, 47, operating under the influence at 9:10 p.m. Feb. 27 at 347 Lisbon St. after a routine traffic stop.

Antonio Gagne, 47, was operating under the influence at 12:58 a.m. Feb. 28 at Main and Sabattus streets after a routine traffic stop.

Paul Mcclain, 39, operating under the influence and and violating conditions of release at 12:41 a.m. Feb. 28 at 69 Sabattus St. after a routine traffic stop.

David Ouellette, 43, operating under the influence and operating after suspension at 12:50 a.m. March 1 at Bates and Main streets after a routine traffic stop.

Marie Fleming, 50, operating under the influence and operating after habitual offender revocation at 12:18 a.m. March 5 at Sabattus and Grove streets after a routine traffic stop.

OAS arrests

Arthur Brown, 38, operating after suspension, failure to give correct name, violating conditions of release, 6:30 p.m. Feb. 27 at Main Street and Island Avenue after a routine traffic stop.

Christopher Bade, 31, operating after suspension, 7:47 a.m. Feb. 28 at Hogan Road and Montello Street after a routine traffic stop.

Michael Shepard, 23, operating after suspension and possession of suspended license, 1:52 a.m. March 1 at Webster Street and Webber Avenue after a routine traffic stop.

Angela Burnham, 26, operating after suspension and violating conditions of release, 5:41 p.m. March 2 at Spruce and Knox streets after a routine traffic stop.

Wanted

Christine Obie, 39, on a warrant charging failure to appear for operating after suspension. Theodore Lague, 26, on a warrant charging failure to appear for habitual offender and failing to stop for an officer.

Jerry Hansen, 29, on a warrant charging failure to appear for possession of drugs.
