FARMINGTON – Saturday, March 21, the Mt. Blue Middle School Dinner Theater will present its original comedy, “Three-and-a-Half Writers.” Featured will be performances by the MBMS Show Choir and the MBMS One-Act Play for an evening of dining and entertainment beginning at 6 p.m.

Written and performed by the cast and crew, with direction from Dan Ryder with Jessica and Jenny Baxter assisting, “Three-and-a-Half Writers” tells the story of a Hollywood writing team down on its luck.

As the team’s desperate search for an idea continues, the audience gets a firsthand look at the good, bad and ridiculous of the creative process. Cast members in featured roles are Danny Barry, Sarah McDonald, Paige Kincaid and Noah LePage.

The MBMS Show Choir’s production is”Unique: Expressing Individuality on Broadway,” a musical revue. Directed by Jim Perkins with choreography by Emily Pottle, the show features songs from some of Broadway’s best, including “Rent,” “Dream Girls,” “Hairspray,” “Guys & Dolls” and “Hair.” Ensemble and soloists include Ragnar Clarke, Paige Kincaid, Abby Lochala, Maryum Norton, Shireen Luick, Hannah Senecal and Astra Pierson.

Over the course of the evening, audience members will be served a meal of salad, rolls, steamed vegetables, cranberry chicken, coffee, tea and dessert in the Mt. Blue Middle School cafeteria.
